Extra Details:: Group A streptococci, cause a wide-range of disease in humans, from mild sore throats to life-threatening invasive disease such as necrotising fasciitis. Streptococcus pyogenes (a group A Streptococcus) is one of the most important pathogens encountered in clinical practice. Group A streptococci (GAS) are gram-positive, non-motile, non-spore-forming organisms that appear as pairs or short-to-moderate-sized chains. Applications: Suitable for use in Agglutination, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunofluorescence: 1:20 Immunohistochemistry: Frozen and paraffin-embedded material (formaldehyde or methacarn fixation) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
