Extra Details:
Serum response factor (SRF) is a nuclear transcription factor that binds to the serum response element (SRE), and is essential for embryonic development of the mesoderm, as well as for the maintenance of adult muscle cells and neurons. As this protein is involved in the downstream regulation of many immediate-early genes, it participates in a variety of cell functions, including cell cycle, apoptosis, cell growth, and cell differentiation. SRF is most commonly activated by serum, LPA, LPS, TPA, growth factors, including TNFalpha, as well as antioxidants and UV light. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:32,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
