- Extra Details:
- Spinesin, also known as Transmembrane Protease, Serine 5 (TMPRSS5) is a type II transmembrane protein that includes a short N-terminal cytoplasmic tail (aa 1-49), a transmembrane domain (aa 50-70), a stem region and a serine protease domain (residues 71-457). Spinesin occurs predominately in neurons, in their axons, at the synapsis of motor neurons in the spinal cord, and in some oligodendrocytes. The amino acid sequence of human Spinesin is 94%, 82%, 81% and 79% identical to that of chimpanzee, canine, rat and mouse. Applications: Suitable for use in direct ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml Western Blot: 1ug/ml under non-reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
