Extra Details:
The sm (Smith) is an autoantigen on a series of particles composed of RNA and protein. Unlike RNP, the sm antigen is resistant to RNase, but partially sensitive to trypsin. It is involved in the pathogenesis of Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Antibodies to sm are found in 20-30% of patients with SLE. Applications: Suitable for use in Electron Microscopy, Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml for 2 hours at RT Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:50-1:100 for 30 minute at RT. No special pretreatment is required for immunohistochemical staining of formalin/paraffin tissues. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: LS174T cells, Tonsil, Testis Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze.
