Extra Details:: Single-minded homolog 2 is a transcription factor that may be a master gene of CNS development in cooperation with Arnt. It may have pleiotropic effects in the tisues expressed during development. Efficient DNA binding requires dimerisation with another bHLH protein. It forms a heterodimer with ARNT. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml, fetal mouse kidney lysates observed on ~80kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
