- Scavenger receptor A5 (SCARA5) is a type II transmembrane protein and a cell surface disulfide-linked homotrimer of > 250kD. Mature mouse SCARA5 consists of a 60aa cytoplasmic domain, a 21aa transmembrane segment, and a 410aa extracellular domain (ECD) with a coiled-coil, a collagen-like, and a scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) domain. Within the ECD, mouse SCARA5 shares 87% and 98% aa sequence identity with human and rat SCARA5, respectively. Alternate splicing generates an isoform that lacks the SRCR domain and one that additionally lacks the cytoplasmic and transmembrane regions. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 25ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, PBS.. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
