Extra Details:: Pentraxin 3 (PTX3), also known as TSG-14, belongs to the pentraxin family, which was named originally for the homopentameric structure formed by its members. PTX3/TSG-14 is a long pentraxin that contains a pentraxin-like domain at its carboxy-terminus with amino acid sequence similarity with short pentraxins (C-reactive protein and serum amyloid P component). PTX3 is a marker of the acute phase response and is highly expressed in advanced atherosclerotic plaques. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
