Extra Details:: PP-2 C alpha/beta is heterodimer located in the mitochondrial matrix. Within the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, PP-2 C alpha/beta serves to catalyze the dephosphorylation and concomitant reactivation of the E1 component’s alpha subunit. Mutations occurring in the PDP1 gene are the cause of a disease known as pyruvate dehydrogenase deficiency (PDP deficiency), which leads to neurological dysfunction from lactic acidosis. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: L6 Cell Lysate. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
