Extra Details:
Prostaglandin I Synthase catalyzes the isomerization of PGH2 to PGI2 (prostacyclin). PGI2 is a potent vasodilator and inhibitor of platelet aggregation. PGIS is a membrane-bound hemoprotein localized primarily in endothelial cells. The cloned bovine and human enzymes contain 500aa and calculated molecular mass of 56,629 and 57,103, respectively. Northern blot analysis reveals that the mRNA for PGIS is expressed in a wide variety of human tissues and is particularly abundant in ovary, heart, skeletal muscle, prostate and lung. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
