- The perinucleolar compartment (PNC) is a structure localized at the periphery of the nucleolus. Thus far the PTB (polypyrimidine tract binding protein) as well as small RNAs (i.e, Y RNA’s, MRP RNA, and Rnase P H1 RNA) have been identified in PNC. Studies conducted to characterize the structure of PNC revealed that RNA binding may be required for PTB to be localized in the PNC. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2-4ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: native. Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: 2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
