Extra Details:: Poliovirus is a single stranded RNA virus and a member of the Picornavirus family. It has three strains: Poliovirus 1, 2 and 3. Poliovirus is an enterovirus known to be the causative agent of poliomyelitis. Applications: Suitable for use in IFA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: IFA: 1:100-1:400; Dilute with buffer, pH 7.5-8.0, to desired working volume. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. IFA Protocol: Substrate Slides: 1. Scrape and spot cells onto microscope slide wells. 2. Air dry. 3. Fix in cold acetone for 10 minutes at 4ºC. Stain: 1. Add 15ul diluted P4430-10. 2. Incubate at 37ºC for 30 minutes in a humid chamber. 3. Rinse in PBS for 5 minutes; repeat with fresh PBS. 4. Add 15ul diluted labeled antibody. 5. Repeat steps 2 and 3. 6. Mount with buffered glycerol. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
