- Extra Details:
- Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor 1 (PAI-1) is a glycoprotein found in plasma that is implicated in the processes of angiogenesis, hemostasis, tumor metastasis, fibrionlysis, ovulation, embryonic development and inflammation. The elevation of PAI-1 has shown to correlate with the prognosis of many cancers including breast cancer. PAI-1 is activated by the glycoprotein vitronectin. Vitronectin binds to PAI-1 and modulates fibrinolysis and cell migration. This binding has proven to be an important inhibitor of the activated form of protein C (APC). Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
