- Extra Details:
- Phosphoglucomutase (PGM) interconverts the 1- and 6-phosphate isomers of alpha-D-glucose. Although it is a reversible reaction, the formation of glucose-6-phosphate is markedly favored. PGM will not convert beta-D-glucose-1-phosphate or beta-D-glucose-6-phosphate. Applications: Suitable for Western Blot and ELISA as well as other antibody based assays using streptavidin or avidin conjugates. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000 to 1:25,000. Against 1ug of b-Phosphoglucomutase [Lactococcus lacti] in a standard sandwich ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated streptavidin and ABTS as a substrate for 30 minutes at RT. Western Blot: 1:500-1:3000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Label: Biotinamidocaproate N-Hydroxysuccinimide Ester (BAC) Biotin/Protein Ratio: 10-20 BAC molecules per goat IgG molecule Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
