- Extra Details:
- Oncostatin M is an important growth regulating cytokine that affects variably a number of tumor and normal cells. Oncostatin M exerts inhibitory effects on the growth of A375 melanoma and other cancer cells, but augments the growth of normal fibroblasts, AIDS-related Kaposi sarcoma cells, and other certain cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Neutralization. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (capture): 2-8ug/ml Western Blot: 1ug/ml using Recombinant Human Oncostatin M/OSM Neutralization: ND50=0.5-2.0ug/ml in the presence of 2ng/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human TF-1 cell line Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
