Extra Details:
p100 is a ubiquitously expressed protein highly conserved during evolution that has been described as a coactivator that enhances the transcriptional activity of EBNA2 of EBV, functions as a bridging factor between STAT6 and the basal transcription machinery bridges, and interacts with the large subunit of RNA polymerase II (1). Antibody studies have localized p100 in the ER and lipid droplets of milk secreting cells. In addition to its nuclear localization, the p100 protein was also detected in cytosolic fractions from lactating mammary gland, in storage lipid droplets from adipocytes, and in ER from liver (2). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot (ECL): 1:2000 Immunofluorescence (frozen): 1:100-1:200. Incubate for 1hr at RT. Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
