- Extra Details:
- Nerve growth factor-beta (NGF-b) is a potent neurotrophic factor which supports the growth and survivability of nerve and/or glial cells. The active form of human beta-NGF is is a noncovalently disulfide-linked homodimer, formed by two 13.5kD polypeptide monomers (238 total aa). The three disulfide bonds are required for biological activity. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Western Blot and Neutralization. Other applications not tested Recommended Dilution: FLISA: 0.5-2ug/ml. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with Biotinylated Anti-Human beta-NGF as a detection antibody, allows the detection of 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant Human beta-NGF. Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for recombinant Human beta-NGF is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition of the biological activity of Human beta-NGF (1ng/ml), a concentration of 0.05-0.08ug/ml of this antibody is required. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months after receipt at 4°C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
