Neurotensin receptor 3 or sortilin (the intracellular sorting protein 95kD) is a member of a family of receptors characterized by a single transmembrane domain, a short intracytoplasmic domain, and a long cysteine-rich luminal extracellular domain. This receptor has been found in the brain, spinal cord, muscle and other peripheral cell types, and in cancer cells. Sortilin exhibits sequence similarities with proteins involved in intracellular transport and trafficking. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:500-1:1000 on rat spinal cord Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
