- NgR, also named reticulon 4 receptor, is a glycosylphosphoinositol (GPI)-anchored protein that belongs to the family of leucine-rich repeat proteins. NgR plays an essential role in mediating axon growth inhibition induced by the myelin-derived proteins Nogo, myelinassociated glycoprotein (MAG), and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (Omgp). Upon ligand binding, NgR associates with and activates the p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75NTR), a tumor necrosis factor superfamily member (TNFRSF16). Applications: Western Blot, Direct ELISA Recommended Dilution: Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0ug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse NgR. The detection limit for rmNgR is approximately 10 ng/well. Western Blot: This antibody can be used at 1-2ug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse NgR. The detection limit for rmNgR is approximately 25 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
