Extra Details:: Human neutral endopeptidase (Neprilysin) is a single pass type II integral membrane endopeptidase. Part of the peptidase M13 family. Acts on polypeptides of less than 30 amino acids with Thermolysin-like specificity. Preferentially cleaves between hydrophobic residues particularly with Phe or Tyr at position 1. Important in degradation of opioid peptides such as Met- and Leu-enkephalins. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
