Extra Details:: GDF8, also known as Myostatin, belongs to the TGF-beta superfamily. It is synthesized as an inactive proprotein with the Nterminal proregion and the Cterminal mature bioactive region. The GDF8 proregion is capable of associating with active GDF8 with high affinity and is a potent GDF8 antagonist. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Direct ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
