Extra Details:
Mucin and cadherin-like protein (MUCDHL), also known as μ-protocadherin, is a 110kD type I transmembrane protein that is both O- and N-glycosylated. It is a calcium-dependent cell adhesion protein in the cadherin superfamily. MUCDHL is found on intestinal and renal epithelium. Human MUCDHL extracellular domain (ECD) contains four cadherin domains (residues 71-459) plus several mucin domains (residues 540-645). Alternate splicing creates four isoforms that differ in their mucin domains. In the region used as immunogen, human and mouse MUCDHL share 63% amino acid sequence identity. Applications: Western Blot: This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human MUCDHL. The detection limit for rhMUCDHL is approximately 5 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human MUCDHL. The detection limit for rhMUCDHL is approximately 0.3 ng/well. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
