- Extra Details:
- Mitogen- and stress-activated protein kinase 1 (MSK1), also known as ribosomal protein S6 kinase 5 (RPS6KA5), belongs to the AGC family of kinases. Both MSK1 and the related MSK2/RSKB have two kinase domains connected by a regulatory linker region, and are activated by the mitogen-activated protein kinases ERK1, ERK2, and p38. Nuclear MSK phosphorylates and activates a number of transcription factors, including ATF1 and CREB. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml. Detects endogenous human and mouse MSK1 at 95kD. Immunocytochemistry: 2-15ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
