Extra Details:: Mesothelin is a glycocylphosphotidylianositol-linked cell-surface glycoprotein, that is present on the surface of normal mesothelium and is overexpressed in many patients with epithelial ovarian cancer and malignant mesotheliomas. May be useful immunohistochemically to distinguish mesotheliomas from other solid tumors. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistology (Formalin/paraffin): 1:5-1:10 for 60 min at RT. REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 1mM EDTA, pH 8.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Mesothelioma Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
