Extra Details:
Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone Receptor (MSH-R), also called Melanotropin Receptor, or Melanocortin-1 Receptor (MC1-R), is a 315aa transmembrane protein belonging to the family 1 of G-Protein coupled receptors. It is a receptor for MSH (a, b, g) and ACTH. Its activity is mediated by G-proteins that activate adenylate cyclase. It is found in Melanocytes and corticoadrenal tissue as well as various tissues like adrenal gland, leukocytes, lung, lymph node, ovary, testis, pituitary, placenta, spleen and uterus. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:10,000-100,000 using 50-100ng of control peptide per well. Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml using Chemiluminescence. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
