- CD206 (macrophage mannose receptor, MMR), also known as mannose receptor C1 (MRC1), is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein serving as pattern recognition receptor for carbogydrate groups on the surface of bacteria, fungi and other pathogens. Expressed mainly on tissue macrophages and dendritic cells, CD206 mediates endocytosis of these pathogens and presentation of their antigens to the adaptive immune system. CD206 can also be detected in a soluble form in human plasma and is elevated in patients with acute sepsis. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: frozen Flow Cytometry: 1-4ug/ml Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml, non-reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
