- Mouse MCP-1 is a potent pro-inflammatory member of the CC chemokine family which corresponds with the product of the early response gene JE of the mouse. MCP-1 is a chemokine that in addition to chemotaxis, induces respiratory burst in monocytes, cytokine synthesis and enhances adhesion molecule expression by monocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 2ug/ml. 6um sections were fixed with 4% PFA, blocked using 0.1% Triton-X and 5% serum for 15 minutes at 37°C or overnight at 4°C and then incubated with antibody for 2 hours at 37°C. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 5um sections were fixed in 10% buffered formalin Western Blot: 0.8ug/ml. Samples electrophoresed on 15% SDS-PAGE were blotted on nitrocellulose and blocked with PBS, 5% low fat dry milk. The blot was incubated with M1203-02 for 20 minutes at RT. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
