Extra Details:: Lysozyme, a bacteriolytic enzyme, has a molecular weight of about 15kD. Its concentration in plasma is low; in milk the concentration is reported to be between 5-220mg/ml. Also tears contain a considerable amount of lysozyme. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000-1:6000 Immunocytochemistry: 1:100-1:500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. HRP conjugates are sensitive to light.
