- Lysosomes are membrane-bound organelles found within the cytoplasm of most cells, which contain hydrolytic enzymes and act as the major compartment for heterophagic and autophagic digestion. Members of the lysosomal-associated membrane protein family (LAMPS) are believed to play an important role in protecting the lysosomal membrane from protease degradation and are involved in lectin-mediated cell adhesion. Evidence shows that CD107b is involved in the lysosomal uptake of cytosolic proteins and the endocytic pathway and human studies have revealed a correlation between the level of surface expression of CD107b on tumor cells and their metastatic potential. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Electron Microscopy, Immunoprecipitation, Immunofluorescence and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:100-1:500 Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 1x10e6 cells in 100ul. Membrane permeabilization is required for this application. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the NS1 myeloma cell line. Recommended Negative Control: I1904-78R: IgG1 Murine Negative Control Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
