- Mouse Ly49 receptors exhibit allelic specificity for MHC class I Ia molecules and are thought to serve to prevent natural killer (NK) cells from attacking normal cells, while allowing them to attack infected or transformed cells in which class I molecules have been down-regulated.2 These inhibitory receptors are also expressed on subpopulations of mouse CD8+ T cells. This antibody stains ~45% of NK1.1+CD3- splenocytes from C57BL/6 mice.1 Applications: • Flow cytometry 1, 3 Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: ≤ 1ug/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
