- Extra Details:
- LMO4 is a 18-20kD member of the LIM-only (LMO) subfamily of LIM domain-containing transcription factors. The 165 amino acid human LMO4 comprises a trans-activating Pro-rich N-terminus, two LIM domains, and a LIM-binding C-terminus. The LIM domain is a conserved cystein-rich structure containing two tandemly repeated zinc fingers involved in protein-protein interaction. LIMs are found in a variety of proteins known to have critical functions in cell-fate specification and differentiation. LMO4 is both nuclear and cytoplasmic. LMO4 is overexpressed in most primary breast carcinomas. Human and mouse LMO4 protein sequences are 100% identical. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. The detection limit for rhLMO4 is 10ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and 2ng/lane for rmLMO4 under reducing conditions. ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. The detection limit for rhLMO4 and rmLMO4 is ~1.5ng/well. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
