Extra Details:: Cell preparations of hepatocellular carcinoma biopsies and cell lines are found to bind EP-1 on the cell surface. Monoclonal antibody EP-1 stains liver canaliculi in normal liver sections and is positive on the cell surface of human liver carcinomas. Monoclonal antibodies to liver cell processes are useful in the identification of hepatic carcinomas and normal organ structures. Two monoclonal antibodies to different liver substructures are offered which bind to subsets of hepatic carcinomas. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunocytochemistry: Use with paraformaldehyde/acetone fixed cell preparations Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): Strongly stains liver canaliculi and hepatic carcinoma cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Liver Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
