- MaxLight™ 490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight™488, Alexa Fluor™488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm); Emission (515nm); Extinction Coefficient 73,000. The nuclear lamina consists of a layer of proteins which are in close apposition to the nucleoplasmic surface of the inner nuclear membrane. This structure provides a framework for nuclear envelope integrity, and for interphase chromosome organization. The lamina itself is composed of as many as four distinct lamin proteins which possess extensive structural similarities to intermediate filament proteins. Based on biochemical and structural properties, lamins can be classified into A- and B- type isoforms. Four distinct lamin isoforms have been identified: A, B1, B2, and C. Lamins A and C are alternatively spliced products of a single gene, whereas lamins B1 and B2 are encoded by distinct genes. Differential lamin expression is thought to play a role in development and differentiation. Nuclear lamina in embryonic and lymphoid cells are composed exclusively of lamin B. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, FLISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunofluorescence: 5-10ug/ml FLISA: 0.1-1.0ug/ml Western Blot: 0.5-1.0ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 2.5-5ug Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
