Nuclear lamins form a network of filaments at the nucleoplasmic site of the nuclear membrane. Two main subtypes of nuclear lamins can be distinguished, i.e. A-type lamins and B-type lamins. The A-type lamins comprise a set of three proteins arising from the same gene by alternative splicing, i.e. lamin A, lamin C and lamin Adel 10, while the B-type lamins include two proteins arising from two distinct genes, i.e. lamin B1 and lamin B2. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry and Western Blotting. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 1:00-1:200 Immunohistochemistry (Frozen) 1:00-1:200 with avidin-biotinylated horseradish peroxidase complex (ABC) as a detecting reagent. Western Blot: 1:00-1:1000 Optimum dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
