Lactoferrin has antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and anticancer actions and performs regulatory roles in cell growth and immunity. Molecular Weight: ~78kD Iron: As reported in in ug/gram Protein: Reported in mg/vial (A280nm, E1mg/ml=1.46) Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoassays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
