Extra Details:: Members of the Klebsiella genus typically express 2 types of antigens on their cell surface. The first, O antigen, is a component of the lipopolysaccharide (LPS), of which 9 varieties exist. The second is K antigen, a capsular polysaccharide with more than 80 varieties. Both contribute to pathogenicity and form the basis for serogrouping. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence. It is also suitable for Conjugation purposes. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Titer: >1:1000 by indirect IFA. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
