- Extra Details:
- The eukaryotic cell cycle is driven by the sequential action of a family of serine/threonine kinases, the cyclin dependent kinases (cdks) acting in concert with their regulatory subunits, the cyclins. p57 Kip2 is a potent inhibitor of several G1 cyclin/cdk2 complexes but unlike p27 Kip1 is not regulated by p53. Kip2 is thought to be involved in decisions to exit the cell cycle during development and differentiation. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml detects Kip2(~57kD) in a HeLa nuclear extract and a bovine brain nuclear extract. Immunoprecipitation: 5ug immunoprecipitates Kip2 from a HeLa nuclear extract and a bovine brain nuclear extract. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1904-39: IgG, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb I1904-40A: IgG, H&L, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb Positive Antigen Control Included: H1838: HeLa Nuclear Extract Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
