- Extra Details:
- The eukaryotic cell cycle is driven by the sequential action of a family of serine/threonine kinases, the cyclin dependent kinases (cdks) acting in concert with their regulatory subunits, the cyclins. p57 Kip2 is a potent inhibitor of several G1 cyclin/cdk2 complexes but unlike p27 Kip1 is not regulated by p53. Kip2 is thought to be involved in decisions to exit the cell cycle during development and differentiation. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml detects Kip2(~57kD) in a HeLa nuclear extract and a bovine brain nuclear extract. Immunoprecipitation: 5ug immunoprecipitates Kip2 from a HeLa nuclear extract and a bovine brain nuclear extract. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1904-39: IgG, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb I1904-40A: IgG, H&L, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb Positive Antigen Control Included: H1838: HeLa Nuclear Extract Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
