Format:: Supplied as a powder obtained from lyophilization of delipidated, heat-inactivated antiserum. No preservative or other proteins added. Total protein and IgG concentratons are comparable to those of pooled normal rabbit serum. Reconstitute with 500ul sterile water.
Extra Details:: Applications: Suitable for use in Double Radial Immunodiffusion and Immunoelectrophoresis. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Double Radial Immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony): Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in 3mm diameter center well and 2ul serum samples (neat and serially diluted in 2mm diameter peripheral wells). Immunoelectrophoresis: 120ul against 2ul serum or equivalent Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Precipitin Titer: 1:32 when tested in agar block immunodiffuison titration against a 1% solution of purified J chain in PBS> Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
