- Insulin Receptor Substrate 1 (IRS-1) is a cytoplasmic protein that participates in the insulin signaling pathway. It is phosphorylated by the Insulin receptor upon binding of Insulin and subsequently associates with several SH2-domain-containing proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunocytochemistry: 10ug/ml Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
