- Interleukin 27 (IL-27) is a novel heterodimeric cytokine comprised of the IL-12 p35-related protein, p28, and the IL-12 p40-related protein, EBI-3 (Epstein Barr virus induced gene 3). IL-27 binds TCCR/WSX1 on native CD4+ T cells and induces the expression of a functional IL-12 receptor, making these cells sensitive to IL-12-mediated Th1 cell development. IL-27 is secreted by antigen-presenting cells, such as CD11b+ dendritic cells and macrophages. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells in RAW 264.7 mouse monocyte/macrophage cell line. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Absorption: 488nm Emission: 565-605nm Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
