Extra Details:: (Interleukin-15) is a 14kD immunomodulatory glycoprotein expressed by multiple tissues and cell types, which primarily stimulates T lymphocytes, but is also critical for the development and activation of natural killer cells (NK). IL-15 shares functional properties with IL-2 and binds with high affinity to the IL-15 receptor (IL-15R), consisting of the IL-15R alpha chain, and also the IL-2Rbeta and common gamma chains used by the IL-2 receptor. Affects of IL-15 have been linked with cells and tissues unrelated to the immune system, and increased expression of IL-15 has been demonstrated in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), ulcerative colitis (UC) Chron’s disease (CD) and lymphoid malignancies, and also conditions affiliated with HIV and HTLV-1 infection. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (capure): 0.5-2ug/ml (using 100ul/well). In conjunction with I8437-03 as a detection antibody, this antibody allows detection of 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant human Interleukin 15. Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit is 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
