- Extra Details:
- Human IL-12 (Interleukin-12), a pleiotropic 75kD heterodimeric glycoprotein, consisting of disulfide linked IL-12A (p35) and IL-12B (p40) subunits, which signals through the high affinity IL-12 receptor. IL-12 is produced primarily by antigen presenting cells and was originally called cytotoxic lymphocyte maturation factor (CLMF), identified by its ability to induce cytotoxic effector cells, in synergy with IL-2. IL-12 is an important factor in the T helper cell (Th1) immune response, promotes the development and activity of activated T cells and natural killer cells (NK), induces IFN-gamma production, and enhances resistance against invading pathogens. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Direct ELISA: 1ug/ml. Detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hIL-12. Sandwich ELISA: 0.25-1ug/ml. Using I8434-06B as a capture antibody allows the detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hIL-12. Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
