Extra Details:
Human IL-12 (Interleukin-12) is a pleiotropic 75kD heterodimeric glycoprotein, consisting of disulfide-linked IL-12A (p35) and IL-12B (p40) subunits, which signals through the high affinity IL-12 receptor. IL-12 is produced primarily by antigen presenting cells and was originally called cytotoxic lymphocyte maturation factor (CLMF), identified by its ability to induce cytotoxic effector cells, in synergy with IL-2. IL-12 is an important factor in the T helper cell (Th1) immune response, promotes the development and activity of activated T cells and natural killer cells (NK), induces IFN-gamma production, and enhances resistance against invading pathogens. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Functional Assays and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Sandwich): 0.5-2.0ug/ml Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml Neutralization: 0.003-0.004ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
