- Interleukin-9 (IL-9) is a 14kD glycosylated cytokine that is secreted by CD4+ Th2 cells. It supports the growth of multiple hematopoietic cell types including Th cells, germinal center B cells, macrophages, mast cells, neutrophils, megakaryocytes, and erythrocytes. IL-9 exerts its biological effects through a receptor complex composed of IL-9 R and the common gamma chain. Mature human IL-9 shares 57% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat IL-9. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry (Intracellular): 2.5ug labels 10e6 cells in human PBMCs. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
