- CD129 serves as the high affinity alpha subunit of IL-9 receptor. It associates with CD132, the common gamma chain shared by receptors of many different cytokines. CD129 is expressed at low levels by T and B cells, blood cell progenitors, eosinophils, mast cells, epithelial cells, muscle cells and neurons. Its signaling (through JAK/STAT pathways) results in proliferative and anti-apoptotic response, which is critical e.g. for intrathymic T cell development and survival of various cell types. The gene for CD129 is located at the pseudoautosomal regions of X and Y chromosomes and it may be related with the development of asthma. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1-5ug/ml, it is recommended to use bright fluorochromes or signal multiplying detection. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
