- Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Neutralization and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA Capture: Useful as a capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA for quantifying human IL-6 protein levels.1-3 Purified antibody should be paired with I8428-07A (biotinylated antibody) as the detection antibody, with purified recombinant human IL-6 as the standard. Immunofluorescence/Flow Cytometry: Useful for intracytoplasmic staining and flow cytometric analysis to identify and enumerate IL-6-positive cells within mixed cell populations. Western Blot: 1-5ug/ml Detection of ≤ 100ng/lane of recombinant human IL-6 under reducing conditions. Neutralization: The I8428-07JX (low endotoxin azide-free Ab), can be used for neutralizing human IL-6 bioactivity. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Antibody Pair: Capture: I8428-07P Detection: I8428-07B Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
