- Murine IFN-gamma is a regulatory protein produced by activated NK cells and CD4+TCR alpha-beta+, CD8+TCR alpha-beta+, and TCR gamma-delta+ T cells. Biological activities of IFN-gamma include specific binding to a single class of high affinity receptors. Interferon gamma is the only known type II interferon. Under physiological conditions, interferon gamma is induced when T-lymphocytes, previously sensitized to an antigen, are exposed to the same antigen, hence its other name: immune interferon. Interferon gamma has demonstrated significant anti-proliferative effects in in vivo studies; however, its therapeutic effects have been limited. Endogenous IFN-g has been shown to be required for the protection of mice against mycobacteri and leishmaniasis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry and Neutralization. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: Useful as a capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA. Use I7662-15M5 Interferon gamma (IFNg) (Biotin) as the detection antibody, with purified recombinant mouse IL-17 as the standard. Western Blot: 1-5ug/ml Using I1904-47P, IgG, H&L, X-Adsorbed (AP) Pab Gt x Rt detects of ≤ 100ng/lane of recombinant mouse IFNg under reducing conditions). iImmunofluorescence: Use I1904-76U IgG1, Rat Isotype Control Neutralization: Use I1904-76UX IgG1, Rat Isotype Control (Azide Free) Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
