Extra Details:: Bovine interferon-gamma is a 166 amino acid ~18kD secreted cytokine with antiviral activity. Interferon-gamma, secreted by lymphocytes in response to specific mitogens, is also a potent macrophage activator and has antiproliferative actions on transformed cells and can enhance functions of type-1 interferons. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, and Western Blot. Not recommended for ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:500-1:2000, 10ul labels 1x10e6 cells in 100ul. Membrane permeabilization is required. Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
