- Mature Interferon gamma (IFN-gamma) is a homodimeric cytokine produced primarily by T-lymphocytes and natural killer cells. IFN-gamma has many immunoregulatory and proinflammatory activities. It binds to IFN-gamma receptors present on virtually all cell types. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Neutralization. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Biological Activity: Measured by its ability to neutralize IFN-gamma inhibition of EMCV-induced cytopathy in the PK-15 porcine kidney epithelial cell line. The Neutralization Dose (ND50) is typically 15-60ng/ml in the presence of 0.2ng/ml recombinant porcine IFN-gamma. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
