- Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein-Like 1 (also IGFBP-rP4) is a secreted member of the IGFBP family of proteins. Based on human, mature mouse IGFBP-L1 is a 251 amino acid (aa), 38kD glycoprotein. It contains an N-terminal IGFBP motif (aa 53-68), a kazal-type serine protease inhibitor region (aa 83-143) and a C-terminal Ig-like domain (aa 161-237). IGFBP-L1 is expressed in brain and testis and may be a tumor suppressor, possibly through the induction of apoptosis. Over aa 18-270, mouse IGFBP-L1 shares 96% and 79% sequence identity with rat and human IGFBP-L1, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml under non-reducing and reducing conditions, respectively. Immunohistochemistry: 5-15ug/mL detects IGFBP-L1 in imersion fixed frozen sections of embyronic mouse brain (E13.5) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
